Solar Shower

When it comes to maintaining personal hygiene on our journeys, especially during the warmer months, we utilize a solar shower. The specific model we have chosen is the Nemo Helio LX pressure shower, which has proven to be a practical and efficient solution for our needs.

The solar shower with a notable 22-liter capacity, providing sufficient water for showering. What sets it apart is its design as a pressure shower. This means that, unlike gravity-fed solar showers, it can be pressurized using a foot pump. This pressurization feature allows for a steady and controlled flow of water during the shower, providing a more user-friendly experience.

One of the advantages of this solar shower is its adaptability in placement. Thanks to its design, it can be set up on the ground or any suitable surface. This flexibility adds to its convenience during camping or outdoor activities.

The shower’s black exterior is designed to absorb and retain heat from the sun, resulting in a quicker warming of the water. This is especially beneficial for achieving a comfortable shower temperature, enhancing the overall experience.

In terms of practicality, the Nemo Helio LX is known for its efficiency, providing a solid stream of water for approximately 7-10 minutes. This duration is often sufficient for quick and refreshing showers for the both of us.  Lastly, the shower is designed to be compact and foldable. This feature is particularly useful for storage and transport, allowing it to be easily packed into a smaller package when not in use.
