Choosing the right cooking equipment for your outdoor adventures is a delicate balance between functionality and space efficiency. One of the most crucial items, the stove, becomes a central consideration. Opting for a portable camping stove aligns with our outdoor lifestyle, offering space savings and the ability to use it both outdoors and indoors when necessary.
Our choice is the Coleman Unleaded 2-burner (424 series), running on Coleman fuel (white gas) or unleaded gasoline. This all-fuel burner provides a sense of security, eliminating the need for propane bottles in the car. Sturdy, high-quality, and easy to maintain, the Coleman stove requires occasional attention. Periodic care includes clearing the fuel tube blockages and lubricating the rubber of the pressure pump. To ensure uninterrupted functionality, we carry spare fuel tubes and rubbers, allowing for on-the-go replacements when needed.
Accompanying the stove is a well-thought-out selection of kitchenware. Four stainless steel pans with foldable silicone handles for efficient storage. Additionally, a frying pan is at our disposal. Tableware comprises melamine plates in various sizes, bowls, and drinking cups.
For a touch of elegance, we have included plastic ‘glass’ cups, perfect for enhancing the flavour of beer and wine. Our set of cutlery, neatly organised in a foldable bag, minimises storage chaos. Various tools such as cutting knives, scissors, and spatulas round out the kitchen arsenal.
Finally, as coffee and tea enthusiasts, our selection includes an old-fashioned kettle, an espresso percolator, and a drip coffee filter. This comprehensive ensemble ensures that we can savour our favourite hot beverages even in the heart of the outdoors.
