Ensuring our food stays fresh and cool during our travels is a priority, and for this purpose, we have integrated a Mobicool MCF40 electric cooler into our car. Boasting a 38-liter capacity, this cooler offers a temperature range from -10°C to +20°C, providing the added benefit of a freezing mode. Its portable design, despite being fixed in place, aligns with our approach to camping without a built-in kitchen.

In the realm of electric coolers, the market offers a plethora of options catering to diverse needs and preferences. Our choice of a compressor cooler, specifically the Mobicool MCF40, stems from its remarkable attributes, including low energy consumption and formidable cooling capacity in comparison to Thermo-Electric or Absorption coolers. The compressor cooler excels regardless of external temperatures, orientation, or the challenges posed by off-road driving.

Given our shopping routine of weekly groceries and limited in-car storage space, a moderately sized fridge proves optimal. During exceptionally hot weather, we leverage the cooling efficiency by adjusting the temperature to freezing while driving, reducing the battery demand when stationary after a journey.
